How to print analysis results

Introduction

You can print the results of any dynamic analysis displayed in the Analysis View.

After you have run dynamic analysis on your Loan Application (To Be) simulation results, you can send those results directly to your printer. The analysis report will include the data that you have generated, along with certain company information that you define. For a description of the various reports that you can generate and print, see Dynamic analysis reports in the help documentation.

To print your Loan Application (To Be) dynamic analysis report, complete the following steps:

Step 1

Right-click in the Dynamic Analysis view table where your dynamic analysis results are displayed, and then select Print.
A dialog box opens (see below).

Step 2

  1. Because the Process Cases Summary report template is the only report available for your analysis results, it is selected by default.
  2. Click OK. (Note that you may see a window asking if you want to load fonts for your reports. Because it is not necessary to load any special fonts for the purposes of this tutorial, click Cancel. See Installing fonts for the report designer in the help documentation for more information.) A window opens.

Step 3

You can enter customized information to appear on your printed report:
  1. In the Parameter Fields list, select Company Name.
  2. In the Parameter Value field, type the following value: Quickstart Finance
  3. Return to the Parameter Fields list and select Company Address.
  4. In the Parameter Value field, type the following value: 123 Main Street.
  5. Return to the Parameter Fields list and select Company E-mail.
  6. In the Parameter Value field, type the following value: myemail@qsproject.com.
  7. Click OK.
A print preview window opens (see below)

Step 4

Click File > Print to print the report.

The report that you have printed contains not only the dynamic analysis data resulting from your simulation, but also your company name and address information, along with details about the simulation that produced the data. This information can help you keep track of the results of particular simulation snapshots and profiles. But what if you need to generate and export data to a different file format? In the next exercise, you will generate your data in a PDF file.
