How to associate a resource with a task
Introduction
You can assign resources or roles to individual tasks within your process diagram. Assigning a resource to a task enables you to capture in your diagram any costs and timetables already associated with that resource.
The tasks in your diagrams are often performed by resources that you have defined in your model. Rather than recalculating costs and availability for each task in your model, you can assign resources that you have already defined to individual tasks. Any cost, timetable, or other attribute that you have specified for that resource is automatically captured in the process diagram, enabling you to accurately model how much each task costs in employee wages, for example, or how long it will take a task to be completed based on the availability of a particular business machine. Previously in this tutorial, you created a resource to represent an employee of Quickstart Finance, Kim Lee. You added attributes to that resource, and then defined a role, costs, and timetable for that resource. You can now associate the Kim Lee resource, and by extension the attributes, role, costs and timetable that you defined for that resource, to any task in your process diagram. How to associate a resource with a task
